Kuwait Foreign Ministry warns against swindlers

KUWAIT, Jan 22 (KUNA) -- Hackers are using telephone operator number of Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs (22225555) to deceive citizens, the department warned in a press release on Tuesday.
These swindlers have been calling individuals claiming that they represent the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and requesting funds' transfer to fake and suspicious accounts of universities where they have been previously registered. Some of the hackers ask for remittances for accrediting scholastic certificates.
The ministry has asked for caution against such acts of fraudulence, warning against dealing with any anonymous persons or phone numbers.
These hackers use phone numbers of peoples and departments for deception and swindling. (end) aas.rk
