Kuwait oil price up USD 1.45 to USD 59.64 pb

KUWAIT, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- The price of Kuwaiti oil went up by USD 1.45 to USD 59.64 per barrel (pb) after being at USD 58.19 pb the day before, said the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Thursday.
At the global level, the price went up due to shares going up in US markets, the OPEC and Non-OPEC coalition's production cut.
The increase occurred despite a boost in refined material reserves in the US and record production of crude there.
The price of the Brent crude went up by 68 cents to USD 60.32 per barrel, the same case with the West Texas Intermediate, which up by 20 cents to USD 52.31 pb. (end) osj.gta
