UAE, Bahrain draw 1-1 in AFC Asian Cup

KUWAIT, Jan 5 (KUNA) -- The national football teams of the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain ended their opening game in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Bahrain's Mohammad Al-Romaihi scored first at minute 78 as a result of mess at the 18 yard box, while Ahmad Khalil, of the hosts, equalized from a penalty shot at minute 88.
The Group A match ended with one point for each team.
The 17th edition of the quadrennial international men's football championship, organized by the Asian Football Confederation, is hosted by the UAE between January 5 and February 1. (end) fsh.gb
