Arab League to hold emergency meeting on Palestine

CAIRO, Dec 16 (KUNA) -- Acting Palestinian ambassador at the League of Arab States Mohannad Al-Aklouk announced an emergency meeting will be held on Tuesday to discuss the Israeli escalation against Palestinians.
"The meeting is to be held upon Palestine's request approved by a number of Arab countries," Al-Aklouk said in a statement.
He added hat this meeting will discuss the Israeli aggression on Palestinian villages, camps and city of Ramallah.
He noted that the meeting will also touch upon the Brazilian president's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and the move of the Brazilian embassy, in addition to the Australian position that is violating international law and international legitimacy resolutions regarding Jerusalem.
Al-Aklouk pointed out that Palestine aims to coordinate a strategy with its brotherly Arab countries during the meeting to provide international security for the Palestinian people. (end) mfm.asm.bb
