KUWAIT, Dec 14 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Friday sent a cable to Nadia Murad, the UNODC Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking, to congratulate her on winning the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize.
In his message, His Highness the Amir wished that Murad's winning of the prestigious prize would shed more light on humanitarian issues that became a matter of concern to everybody.
He thanked Murad for her recognition of Kuwait's contributions to the reconstruction of Iraq and expressed his best wishes for the Nobel Prize laureate.
His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables to Murad. (end)
