JEDDAH, Dec 14 (KUNA) -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Friday welcomed a recent agreement concluded in Sweden between Yemen's warring parties.
A Saudi Foreign Ministry statement stressed the importance of this agreement as a significant step towards reaching a political solution to the Yemeni crisis and ending the suffering of Yemenis on the basis of UN Security Council Resolution 2216, the output of the national dialogue and the GCC Initiative.
It appreciated the international and regional efforts that contributed to achieving these positive results, according to the statement.
The Saudi Government also praised the role played by the legitimate Yemeni government in reaching such an agreement. (end)
