KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- President of the Malaysian Senate SA Vigneswaran on Wednesday received a written invitation from Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim to visit Kuwait at the head of a parliamentary delegation.
The invitation was handed by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Malaysia Saad Al-Assousi.
Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after a meeting with Vigneswaran, Al-Assaussi said that the Malaysian official promised to respond to this invitation at the earliest opportunity along with a delegation that will include representatives of all political parties in the Malaysian government.
He pointed out that the Malaysian official stressed his keenness to discuss ways to develop bilateral relations in all fields with the Kuwaiti side, stressing that the Malaysian Senate will work hard to develop relations between the two countries, especially in matters related to the cooperation of ministries and government agencies.
He added that the President of the Malaysian Senate is continuously following the developments in the Kuwaiti National Assembly, where he praised the Kuwaiti parliamentary experience, describing it as unique in the region. He conveyed his greetings to the Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly.
Ambassador Al-Assousi said that the meeting was attended by some members of the Senate where they discussed ways of developing relations between the Kuwaiti National Assembly and the Malaysian Senate, praising the historical relations between the two countries, especially in the parliamentary and all fields and sectors.(end).
