Toll in Strasbourg shooting rises to two dead, eleven wounded

PARIS, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- The fatality toll Tuesday in the shooting in the eastern French city Strasbourg has risen to two dead, with eleven others wounded, according to the Prefecture in the city.
Police say that they are strongly considering the shooting as a terrorist attack by a lone gunman who has been identified and is currently actively being sought by security forces.
The attack took place in the busy Christmas Market of Strasbourg which is highly frequented by local and foreign tourists at this time of the year.
"France 3" national television reported that parts of the city are in lock down as the manhunt continues to try to arrest the gunman, who was reported to have been armed with a hand gun and a knife. (end) jk.ibi
