BEIRUT, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- The Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) on Tuesday condemned, in the strongest of terms, the raid of Israeli forces in Ramallah on the Palestinian news agency, WAFA, yesterday.
In a statement, FANA Chairman Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah, called on the international community to pressure Israel to stop its "brutal" practices against the "unarmed" Palestinian people and its "official" institutions.
Such "barbaric and inhumane" policy against the Palestinian people goes against all international human rights' charters, said Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij, also Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The FANA statement also condemned confinement of the WAFA employees in the editorial office, turning the media outlet into a military barrack by Israeli troops. (end) fa.hb
