ROME, Dec 10 (KUNA) -- The Museo Egizio, or the Egyptian Museum, of Turin in Italy is the second largest museum for antiquities from the Pharaonic era, after the Museum of Cairo in Egypt.
Since its reopening in 2015, the museum has been attracting growing number of visitors. It was visited by about 900,000 people last year.
It is also considered by some to be the third most prominent museum in Italy and is a main international reference for Egyptology.
The museum showcases rare antiquities, including three copies of the "Book of the Dead", architectural portraits, cemeteries, statues of kings, temples and mummies. (end) mn.ag
