Kuwait Karate team wins gold medal in Shanghai championship

KUWAIT, Dec 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Karate team won on Sunday a gold medal in the Kata division of Shanghai international championship in China organized by the World Karate Federation (WKF).
Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri congratulated the Kuwaiti team, in a statement to KUNA, on this accomplishment.
He wished the national team more success and prominence in regional and international arenas.
The national team won the gold medal after defeating Japan, China and Italy (5-0) and Japan's first team (4-1).
Kuwait's team comprised three players, Mohammad Al-Mousawi, Salman Al-Mousawi and Mohammad Bader. (end) fr.bb
