ANKARA, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwaitis came third after Iraqis and Iranians in terms of foreigners buying real estate in Turkey last October, statistical data showed on Wednesday.
According to data released by the Turkish Statistics Agency, Kuwaiti citizens bought 378 properties in October, ranking third after Iraqis who topped the list by buying 1,439 properties, while the Iranians came second with 557 properties, then the Germans with 341 properties and Russians with 336 properties.
The total number of sales of property to foreigners in Turkey last October reached 6,276 registered properties, an increase of 134.4 percent compared to the same month in 2017, according to data.
It added that the city of Istanbul was the most Turkish city selling real estate to foreigners in October, where the number of properties sold was 2,283 properties followed by Antalya with 1,160 properties and then Bursa with 448 properties followed by Ankara and Yalova with a total of 392 and 321 properties, respectively.(end).
