DOHA, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- Iman Al-Shammaa clinched gold and silver medals in respective individual and team women's events as Kuwaiti shooters nabbed eight medals in total on day three of the Arab Shooting Championship on Monday.
Al-Shamaa won individual skeet beating Qatar's Reem Al-Sharshani (silver) and Sara Mohammad (bronze), and helped Sheikha Al-Rashidi and Fatima Al-Zaabi to a skeet team silver ahead of Oman and trailing winners, hosts Qatar.
In the men's skeet individuals, Saud Al-Kanderi stood on the podium surrounded by two Qataris as he claimed silver alongside Masoud Al-Athba (gold) and Rashed Al-Athba (bronze) at Losail International Shooting Complex.
Another silver in the men's team event followed, as Abdullah Al-Rasheedi, Mansour Al-Rashidi and Abdulaziz Al-Saad delivered Kuwait's third silver of the day in between Qatar and Oman respectively.
In the women's 10m air rifle teams event, former Arab gold-medalist Maryam Erzougi led a Kuwaiti side, including Muneera Al-Anjeri and Haya Al-Beloushi, to a bronze trailing Oman, in second, and Qatar, in first.
Bronze medals were also awarded to Abdullah Al-Harbi in the men's 10m air rifle individuals, Abdullah Al-Harbi, Sultan Al-Osaimi and Khaled Al-Majed in the teams event, and Saud Al-Mutairi, Hasan Al-Mulla and Othman Al-Failakawi for the men's 25m pistol team event.
