KUWAIT, Nov 18 (KUNA) -- Chief of the Kuwaiti Army's General Staff Lieut. Gen. Mohammad Al-Khodr and visiting Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force Gen. Alberto Rosso and his accompanying delegation on Sunday discussed several issues of mutual interest.
They also considered ways of promoting and developing military relations between Kuwait and Italy, the Kuwaiti army said in a press statement.
Kuwaiti Air Force Commander Air Vice-Marshal Adnan Al-Fadhli and Italy's Defence Attache in Kuwait Col. Vito Cracas attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Army organized an air show for the Italian Air Force on the beach of the Arabian Gulf.
Kuwaiti Air Force's Operations Chief Brig. Saif Al-Hussein said the Kuwaiti army chief and several other generals had witnessed the show.
He added that the Kuwaiti Army Force would take delivery of the first group of European fighter aircraft by 2020, noting that Kuwait is expected to receive a total of 28 planes in phases. (end)
