KUWAIT, Nov 17 (KUNA)

1964 -- An Amiri Decree was issued over endorsing the revised provisions of the United Nations on achieving a balanced representation in the Security Council and the Economic and Social Council which was issued by the UN General Secretariat on December 17, 1963.
1970 -- The Central Bank of Kuwait put into circulation the second issue of Kuwaiti currency which carried the picture of the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
1993 -- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) re-operated Al-Shuaiba refinery which was destroyed by the Iraqi troops during the 1990 occupation. The cost of its reconstruction stood at nearly KD 26 million.
2013 -- The International Federation of Red Cross and Crescent grants Kuwait Red Crescent President Barjas Hmoud Al-Barjas Henry Dunant medal for his humanitarian work and efforts in the field.
2013 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) sign loan agreement with the Republic of Cape Verde totaling KD four million to contribute in financing and building health centers.
2017 -- Kuwait wins three awards in Arab poetry competition, traditional arts, and and short story during Arab Youth and Culture forum, part of Kuwait Arab capital of youth event. (end) mb
