Turkey inquires about Kuwait's post-downpour situation

KUWAIT, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- Turkish Interior Minister  Süleyman Soylu on Friday called his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah to ask about the conditions in Kuwait after the recent inclement rainy weather.
In the phone conversation, the Turkish minister offered condolences over the death of a Kuwaiti citizen in the rainfall, and voiced willingness to offer all types of help to Kuwait, the Interior Ministry's media office said in a press statement.
Soylu wished safety to the people and residents of Kuwait and spoke highly of the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry's response to the latest deluge ramifications, according to the statement.
Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah, in return, voiced sincere thanks and gratitude to the Turkish minister for this position, which, he affirmed, reflected strong bonds between both nations and their friendly people, it added. (end) am.tb.mt
