KUWAIT, Nov 15 (KUNA) -- KUNA's Deputy Director-General for the Editorial Sector and Editor-in-Chief Saad Al-Ali on Thursday met with the director of the Chinese People's Daily Middle East Regional Office.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of promoting and elevating media cooperation between Kuwait and China up to the level of bilateral relations.
Welcoming the Chinese editor, Al-Ali underscored the significance of developing Kuwaiti-Sino media relations in the light of firm cooperative ties between both countries in all domains, mainly Kuwait's 2035 development plan projects, where China invests in Silk City and Kuwaiti Islands projects.
He hoped that KUNA and Kuwaiti local newspapers on the one hand and the Chinese People's Daily newspaper on the other hand would bolster media cooperation, especially in the exchange of news reports and expertise.
KUNA's chief editor pointed out his agency's willingness to buttress this orientation with all its potential and capabilities.
The Chinese People's Daily is the biggest newspaper group in China. The paper is an official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party, published worldwide with a circulation of 3-4 million. In addition to its main Chinese-language edition, it has editions in Arabic, English, French, Japanese, Spanish, Russian and others. (end) tb.mt
