Kuwaiti leadership's support for women key for achievements - award-winning teacher

KUWAIT, Nov 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti teacher who won 'Mohammaad Bin Zayed Award for Best Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC, Teacher' said the Kuwaiti leadership's support for women encourages them for more achievements.
In a statement to KUNA on Monday, Hiba Salmeen, who won the 'best participant' title, said the award aims to honor efforts of teachers in the Gulf region and boost their creativity.
The award, which was held in Abu Dhabi, includes the 'best Gulf teacher prize' worth AED one million (KD 830,000). Salmeen won the 'best participant prize' for AED 100,000. A high school philosophy teacher, Salmeen pointed out the Award also involves choosing 14 teachers to take part in international training courses. (end) mrf.kda.ag
