KUWAIT, Nov 5 (KUNA) -- China maintained its lead in second day of 8th Asian Shotgun, and Air Rifle Championship and the 11th shooting and air pressured weapons championship on Monday at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic shooting range.
Chinese Wang Yuefeng won the 10m Air Rifle category for the Junior class, ahead of Indian Panwar Sing, and Tian Xiangyu, also from China, in third.
China's team won the 10m Air Rifle Men's Juniors category, while India followed in second and the Singaporean team was third.
In the 10m Air Rifle Women Juniors Individual category China occupied the top two positions with Shi Mengyao in first and Xu Hong in second place, while Indian Valarivan Elavenil trailed in third.
The Chinese women's Juniors team also came out on top in the 10m Air Rifle Team Category. It was followed by India, while Singapore took bronze.
In the Women's Skeet Juniors Individual class, China again grabbed the gold and silver by Sun Yashu and Song Zhengyi, and trailed by Kravchenko Zoya from Kazakhstan in third place.
Women shooters from Thailand won the Skeet event as Jiewchaloemmit Sutiya won the Gold in the Individual category, and in second was Kazakh Orynbay Aseem, then Sarah Mohammad from Qatar.
In the Skeet Women's Team category Thailand won the gold as the Chinese team followed in second to leave the last podium position for Kazakhstan.
In a press conference, Qatari shooter Rashed Al-Athbah said that his country's teams is participating in the Skeet, Trap, and Double Trap in both the men and women's categories.
He said Asian shooters have a great opportunity to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. (end) fsh.aq
