Kuwait starts receiving Eurofighters in Q4 '20 - Air Force Commander

KUWAIT, Nov 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Army will start receiving the first batch of Eurofighter Typhoon in the fourth quarter of 2020, commander of Air Force said Sunday and noted Kuwait would receive a total of 28 warplanes.
Air Vice-Marshal Adnan Al-Fadhli said a team from Kuwait Army visited factories where Eurofighters were built in European countries to get acquainted with production process.
He was speaking to reporters on sidelines of a reception held by the Italian Embassy to mark the country's Armed Forces Anniversary.
Eurofighter Typhoon is built by aerospace and defense companies of four European nations: Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Al-Fadhli meanwhile said military cooperation between Kuwait and Italy was excellent.
The two countries are bound to military contracts, he said, and there were Kuwaiti pilots and navy forces training in Italy.
Kuwait armed forces took part in maneuvers in Oman and Alexandria, he said. (end) nmo.bs
