SOUSSE, Tunisia, Oct 26 (KUNA) -- The Arab States Broadcasting Union (APU) on Friday held a preparatory meeting ahead of the 100th Session of the Executive Council in Tunis to discuss launching a new mechanism to develop the Arab media.
آ آ آ Assistant Undersecretary of the Publications Sector at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information and Head of the Arab States Broadcasting Union Mohammad Al-Awash said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and state television that "in light of the efforts of the Arab States Broadcasting Union to develop its work mechanisms in line with the current developments and challenges, we held held a meeting to evaluate work of the Higher Committee for Arab Production and the Higher Committee for Coordination between Arab satellite channels, with the participation of former Directors General of the Union.

He stressed that "these reform efforts have been greatly boosted by The Kuwaiti Presidency of the Union represented by Mohammed Al-Awash who contributed to the development of the Arab Media House at all levels."
