Tokyo stocks fall to two-month low on Wall Street loss

TOKYO, Oct 23 (KUNA) -- Tokyo stocks plunged Tuesday to hit a two-month low following the selloff on Wall Street overnight.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) lost 604.04 points, or 2.67 percent, from Monday to 22,010.78, the lowest closing level since August 13.
The broader Tokyo Stock Price Index, which includes all shares on the market's First Section on the TSE, also ended down 44.59 points, or 2.63 percent, to 1,650.72, with all 33 sectors on the TSE losing ground.
Investor sentiment was dented as the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 closed lower on Monday ahead of major American firms' corporate earnings reports coming this week. (end) mk.tg
