Kuwait admires Romania's pledge to find missing citizen

KUWAIT, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- Assistant Foreign Minister for Europe Affairs Ambassador Walid Al-Khubaizi on Monday praised Romanian authorities' cooperation to determine destiny of the missing Kuwaiti citizen, Mohammad Al-Baghli.
Ambassador Al-Khubaizi, in a statement, admired Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila's hosting of Al-Baghli's family at Bayan Palace during her visit to the country and her promise to follow up on the case.
Dancila's visit to Kuwait, which concluded late on Sunday, was the last of recurring and reciprocal visits at the official level between the two countries. The Romanian premier had also met His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Ali Al-Ghanim and officials of Kuwait Investment Authority.
The Romanian and Kuwaiti sides, during the meetings, underlined need for elevating the 55-year relationship between the two countries to higher levels.
Official talks that had been held between His Highness the Prime Minister and his Romanian counterpart dealt with necessity of expanding cooperation in domains of common interest, Ambassador Al-Khubaizi said.
The Romanian side expressed desire to send in medical cadres and host Kuwaiti patients for treatment.
Premier Dancila had also expressed desire to cooperate with Kuwait in the agricultural field and supply the country with livestock.
At the political level, Ambassador Al-Khubaizi said the Romanian premier expressed admiration of the efforts, exerted by His Highness the Amir, to settle the Gulf crisis.
Ambassador Al-Khubaizi said in conclusion that the two sides signed two memos for political consultation and tourist cooperation. (end) fn.rk
