BRUSSELS, Oct 17 (KUNA) -- The European Union (EU) called Wednesday for de-escalation after the launching of a rocket from Gaza against Israel and the Israeli attack on 20 targets in Gaza last night.
"Indiscriminate attacks against civilians are completely unacceptable. The first priority now is for de-escalation," said Maja Kocijancic, spokesperson for EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, in a statement.
"The cycle of violence and despair has to be broken. Only a political solution can put an end to the violence," she added. (end)
