KUWAIT, Oct 17 (KUNA) -- 1992 - Kuwait's Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issues a decree to form Kuwait's 16th cabinet, which included 15 ministers headed by Crown Prince Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
 1999 - The Cabinet decides to suspend Al-Seyassah newspaper for five days due to the publication in its October 16 issue of abuse of the Amiri self and harming the supreme national interest.
 2006 - Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issues a decree establishing the National Center for Educational Development in order to create an atmosphere conducive to the development of the educational process in Kuwait.
 2008 - Ministry of Communications launches the second phase of the fifth national numbering plan in Kuwait by adding the number 2 for landline lines and number 1 for service prefix lines. The three-figure lines remained as they are.
 2010 - Kuwait Oil Company announces that the production capacity of the company stood at three million barrels per day for the first time as actual production, after implementing the target production capacity test according to its strategy until 2030.
 2010 - Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry honors Kuwait inventor Abdulrahman Al-Zanki, 14, who invented a unique entertainment program designed to suit smartphones.
2015- UNESCO agrees that Kuwait establishes two international centers for people with disabilities and water research (end).
