KUWAIT, Oct 10 (KUNA) -- Al-Manara center is the first Kuwaiti institution to provide child and adolescent psychiatry help, said head of Kuwait Center for Mental Health, Dr. Bibi Al-Ameeri on Wedndesday.
On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, coinciding today, Dr. Al-Ameeri told KUNA the Al-Manara deals with anxiety and behavioral disorders, in addition to autism cases for children and teenagers.
Established in 1955, the center went through many changes and developments, leading it to win the 'safety star' by the health ministry in 2016.
Al-Ameeri noted that the center receives thousands of cases each year and will continue to do so. (end) mak.aas.mah
