Three policemen, 5 militants killed in separate incidents in India

NEW DELHI, Sept 21 (KUNA) -- Militants abducted and killed three police officials while five other militants were killed in two different encounters in India, reported Indo-Asian News Agency Friday.
Quoting police sources, militants abducted three police officers from their houses in Shopian district and were killed later.
A police officer said that the local residents discovered the bullet-ridden bodies of the three abducted police men identified as Firdous Ahmad Kuchai, Nisar Ahmad Dhobi and Kuldeep Singh.
The incident came few days after the Hizbul Mujahideen warned the policemen to quit their jobs or face consequences.
In a separate occurrence, five militants were gunned down following an encounter in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indo-Asian News Agency said that the security forces killed three militants today in an ongoing encounter in Sumlar area where two militants were gunned down on Thursday.
