5.2 quake jolts Antalya coasts, no casualties

ISTANBUL, Sept 12 (KUNA) -- An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea state of Antalya on Wednesday, without causing casualties, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Administration (AAD) said.
The quake occurred at 09:21 local time (0621 GMT) off the state-run Komluga region and at a depth of about 40 km, the department said in a statement.
The earthquake follows the 1999 Marmara earthquake in Istanbul, the last major earthquake to hit Turkey, leaving more than 17,000 dead and destroying thousands of buildings.(end).
