1980 -- A blast ripped through the headquarters of Al-Rai newspaper killing one and wounding six others. Damages were estimated at KD six million.
2010 -- Yousif Al-Rubaiaan won second place in Formula 2 World Championship Jetski finals, held in Italy.
2012 -- Kuwait contributed USD three million to global fight against Malaria. 2013 -- Kuwaiti Society for Relief launched an urgent aid campaign in Sudan's White Nile state which was hit by floods.
2017 -- Kuwait's Central Agency for Public Tenders and the Ministry of Public Works won two shields and two certificates of appreciation in the Golden Excellence Award Competition for Arab Governments' Achievements. (end) ag
