ANKARA, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- Gokyay Chess Museum in the Turkish capital Ankara showcases chess sets from many different cultures including Kuwait.
The museum, which was enlisted in Guinness World Record in 2012, presents about 686 chess tables from about 110 countries.
Speaking to KUNA on Wednesday, museum founder Akin Gokyay said the place includes sets from Arab countries like Kuwait, Bahrain, Tunisia and Morocco.
It also showcases chess items from the Pharaohs era, he added.
Gokyay noted that his son brought the chess set from Kuwait after his visit to the country, while his wife brought it from Bahrain during her participation in a conference on women there. (end) rs.ag
