KUWAIT, Sept 2 (KUNA) -- Courses offered by the World Bank Group (WBG) have proven effective in improving the quality of education, said an official on Sunday.
Such courses are akin to a roadmap to educational stability, the Kuwaiti ministry of education's undersecretary Haitham Al-Athari told reporters after meeting with WBG representatives on the sidelines of a course over the intricacies of the education sector.
On the four-day course, he said it represents a starting point for any plan designed to set in motion an education overhaul, expressing hope that the participants in the course are able to acquire new knowledge.
Meanwhile, WBG's deputy manager Firas Raad underlined the international organization's mission of ensuring universal access to education, one of the pillars of sustainable development. He went on to say that the WBG will employ all resources at its disposal to bring that goal to fruition. (end) mrf.ha.nam
