Qatari Amir discusses war on terrorism with senior US military chief

DOHA, Aug 28 (KUNA) -- Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held talks on Tuesday with Lieutenant General Jeffrey Harrigian, Chairman the U.S. Air Forces Central Command, on joint efforts for fighting terrorism, the official Qatari News Agency said.
QNA said Sheikh Tamim decorated Lieut. Gen. Harrigian with "Sheikh Joaan" first-degree military medal in appreciation for his sincere efforts to cement further the close relationship and strategic partnership between the two friendly countries.
Sheikh Tamim also expressed gratitude to Lieut. Gen. Harrigian for his role in boosting cooperation between Qatar and the US, particularly in combating terrorism. (end) nnd.rk
