Egypt to close Rafah crossing during Eid Al-Adha holiday

CAIRO, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- Egypt said Friday it would close Rafah land crossing with Gaza Strip during Eid Al-Adha holiday next week.
Middle East news agency (MENA) quoted official sources as saying the crossing was closed today and tomorrow Friday, but would reopen on Sunday.
However, they added, the crossing would be closed between Monday and Saturday, August 25.
Egyptian President Abdulfatah Al-Sisi announced last May reopening of Rafah crossing during the Muslims' holy month of Ramadhan in a bid to alleviate suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, as well as allow the sick people travel to get treatment outside the strip. (end) esm.bs
