Saudi authorities stress importance of adherence to Hajj' regulations

JEDDAH, July 29 (KUNA) -- Saudi security authorities on Sunday called on the pilgrims to adhere to the regulations and instructions during Hajj to ensure their safety.
Hajj Security Forces Commander Lieut-General Khaled Al-Harbi said in a statement after a meeting with Hajj Security leaders, the meeting discussed preparations for season Hajj so pilgrims can carry out rituals in Makkah and holy places in security and safety.
Al-Harbi stressed the importance of concerted efforts and raise the level of readiness for the implementation of the plans to serve the pilgrims and facilitate performance of religious rituals.
Al-Harbi also called on everyone to abide by the regulations, decisions and instructions of Hajj authorities, and asked the security forces to prevent the arrival of unlicensed pilgrims to the holy places by monitoring the pilgrims in the fields.
In a related context, the Directorate General of Passports urged all pilgrims to adhere to the regulations and instructions of Hajj, and the need to have the official permit to perform Hajj rituals in order to avoid the penalties that will be applied against violators.
In a press release, the Directorate said pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom should leave the country before the expiration of their visas.
The Directorate also noted that there will be penalties against the violators Including financial fines, imprisonment and deportation. (end) nsa.aa
