RIYADH, July 20 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture on Friday confirmed the detection of one case of H5N8 avian flu in Al-Azizya bird market in Riyadh.
The ministry spokesman Abdullah Abalkhail said in a statement that the ministry have taken all measures to control the spread of the disease once they have detected the first case amongst ducks who are suitable hosts of the aliment.
Abalkhail warned bird owners and poultry business personnel to stay away from Al-Azizya market until the sterilization period is over and the infection controlled. (end)
