Arab coalition's aircraft crashes, pilots safe and sound

RIYADH, July 12 (KUNA) -- A fighter aircraft of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition Supporting the Legitimacy in Yemen crashed in Assir Region in the southwest of Saudi Arabia on Thursday, the coalition said.
"At 04:41 a.m. early Thursday, a Tornedo fighter of the Coalition, affiliated to the Saudi Royal Air Forces, inflicted a technical defect as it was returning from a training mission," the coalition's spokesman Col. Turki Al-Maliki said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The technical failure resulted in the crash of the aircraft, but the two pilots survived the accident, he added. (end) mdm.mt
