Bahrain deplores attack in Saudi Arabia's Qasim attack

MANAMA, July 8 (KUNA) -- Bahrain on Sunday condemned the shooting that targeted a security checkpoint in Al-Qasim, Saudi Arabia, which left a security officer and a resident dead.
The Saudi Interior Ministry said earlier today a Saudi security personnel, an expatriate and two "terrorists" were killed, while another "terrorist" was injured, in an exchange of fire at a checkpoint in Saudi Arabia's Qassim Area.
Bahrain reiterated that it stands side by side with Saudi Arabia in the fight against all forms of terrorism at both regional and international levels, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It reaffirmed its firm stance against violence and terrorism, while calling for promoting international cooperation and joint coordination to wipe out terrorism that targets international peace and security. (end) hmd.mt
