4-3 magnitude quake rocks Lebanon

BEIRUT, July 4 (KUNA) -- An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck several areas in Lebanon on Wednesday, local reports said.
The residents of Beirut, South Lebanon, Bekaa, and Mount Lebanon felt the tremors at 10:00 pm local time (07:00 pm GMT), Lebanon's official news agency (NNA) quoted Lebanese seismologists as saying.
Several light tremors have been registered in Lebanon since Wednesday morning, the agency added.
Neither casualties nor damage has been reported so far.
Meanwhile, fresh quakes measuring 4.7 on the Richter degree hit Jordan's northern areas, following two tremors in Lake Tiberias and the northern city of Irbid. (end) ab.mt
