KUWAIT, June 20 (KUNA) -- 1961 -- Iraqi ruler Abdulkarim Qassem sends a cable to the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, raising allegations about Iraq's historic rights in Kuwaiti territory.
1962 -- The Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah inaugurates Al-Sabah Hospital. It was the first and most important hospital constructed by the Ministry of Health.
1985 -- Iran confiscates the Kuwaiti cargo ship 'Al-Muharag'.
2010 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issues decree establishing Kuwaiti companies to construct electricity and water plants.
2011 -- A.T. Kearney; a US-based global management consulting firm, ranks Kuwait in fifth place among the world most attractive emerging retail markets.
2012 -- Kuwaiti and French military officials sign a cooperation agreement.
2012 -- Constitutional Court issues a verdict nullifying calls for parliamentary elections in 2012 and restoring legitimacy to the dissolved 2009 parliament. (end) hb
