Turkey plans to establish five mega industry zones

ISTANBUL, June 18 (KUNA) -- Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan revealed Monday his country's plan to establish five mega industrial zones in various Turkish regions.
The project would upgrade Turkey's industry and technology by providing employment to 100,000 people, Erdogan said in his Twitter account.
The five zones, including three in north region, one in west, and one in south, would bolster Turkey's industrial and technological infrastructure and lead its economy to make an unprecedented leap, he noted.
Coinciding with marking the Republic's centenary, Turkey seeks to attain a series of major goals by 2023, including be among the world's top 10 economies, said Erdogan.
He also mentioned a political and economic vision consisted of several plans aimed to make the gross national product reaches USD two trillion within the next five years. (end) wa.ma
