ISTANBUL, June 18 (KUNA) -- At least PKK militants have been killed as part of anti-terrorism operations across Turkey over the past week, the Interior Ministry said Monday.
The Turkish Armed Forces carried out 2,043 counter-terrorism operations on June 11-18, the ministry said in a statement.
Ten militants were killed, four others were captured, and eight surrendered to authorities, according to the statement.
Listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the EU, the PKK been carrying out operations against Turkish army and security forces since the mid-1980s. (end)
