RAMALLAH, June 18 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian official on Monday lambasted recent remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu trying to justify Israel's occupation of the West Bank
Netanyahu's statement was ludicrous, said Yousef Al-Mahmoud, spokesman of the Palestinian conciliation government in a statement, adding that the West Bank "has never subjugated to occupation.
"Our people are determined to pursue the struggle and attain their legitimate rights according to international laws and doctrines."
Netanyahu in his recent remarks said Israel would maintain occupation of the West Bank due to "ongoing attacks on it; that's why we will continue holding security control over all regions in the (West) Bank." (end)
