1960 -- The Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issued a law stipulating that an attorney must be registered in the interim or permanent bar table.
1963 -- Kuwait Fishing Company was established as a Kuwaiti shareholding company with a KD one million (USD 3.3 million) capital.
2000 -- UNESCO chose Kuwait for establishing motherhood and children headquarters.
2001 -- The National Assembly approved the GCC Joint Defense Treaty, inked in December 2000.
2002 -- The Higher Education Council changed system of educational levels, setting elementary teaching years at five, intermediate at four and secondary at three.
2002 -- Ministry of Interior Criminal Evidence Directorate General began operating the DNA identification laboratory.
2007 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued a law setting number of people who could be granted the Kuwaiti citizenship in 2007.
2008 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued a decree for establishing Kuwait International Law School.
2008 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah decreed establishing the Higher Enterprise Authority.
2008 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah inaugurated the National Campaign for Marine Life Conservation (Senyar).
2015 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development inked in Djibouti an agreement for funding the national investment program as part of GCC contributions in which Kuwait's share amounted to USD 50 million. (end) rk
