Train accident kills one person, injures three others in Kazakhstan

MOSCOW, June 17 (KUNA) -- One person was killed and three others injured when a train derailed in Zhambyl, a region of Kazakhstan, on Sunday, sources said.

The train was going from the country's capital Astana to Almaty, the biggest city in Kazakhstan, the sources of Kazakhstan's emergency ministry were quoted by Interfax news agency as saying.
The accident took place when eight out of 20 others derailed or overturned in Zhambyl, the sources added.
The injured passengers were taken to hospital, they sources said. (end) as.mt
