Al-Sisi assigns Housing Min. to form new gov't

CAIRO, June 7 (KUNA) -- Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi assigned Housing Minister in the caretaker government Moustafa Madbouli to form a new government, official media reported Thursday.
Al-Sisi commissioned Madbouli to draw up a new cabinet to succeed that of Prime Minister Sharif Ismail, who resigned earlier this week, presidential sources said, according to Middle East News Agency (MENA).
The Egyptian President had appointed the Housing Minister to serve as Acting Premier in November 2017 while Ismail was receiving medical treatment in Germany. (end) hdr.ma
