KOC succeeds in producing light crude oil from Jurassic production units

KUWAIT, June 6 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has succeeded in producing and separating light crude oil from Jurassic production units, Kuwait's Oil Minister and Minister of Electricity and Water Bakheet Al-Rashidi said Wednesday.
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), represented by the global marketing sector, is seeking to export this type of oil, expecting to export the first shipment at the end of this month, Al-Rashidi stated in a press statement. The Minister also said, "This will be the first export of light crude oil by KPC, Which will be added to the other types of Kuwaiti oils available for export." Kuwait light crude oil is famous for its high quality and low sulfur content, which provides a profitable return to Kuwait in the international markets. (end).
