1975 - The Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issued decree to include the departments of state properties, services, public accounting, the budget, retirement, investment, and others to the Ministry of Finance.
1976 - The Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issued a decree regulating ownership and registration of apartments, floors and plots of land.
1976 -- The Agricultural Food Products Company was established with a capital of KD 10 million.
1980 - The Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued a decree-law to which the State would acquire the private Transport Company. Shareholders received compensations with KD 2.5 per stock.
1995 -- The Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah donated sterling pounds 500,000 for a special fund for Iraqi refugees, set up by British legislator Baroness Emma Nicholson. The fund was distributed to build a hospital for Iraqi refugees in Iran and working out an educational program for their children.
2003 -- Former minister of oil Dr. Adel Al-Sabeeh was awarded a GCC patent for a system for cooling water for houses. He was granted the award at a ceremony organized by the GCC Patent Office at its Riyadh headquarters.
2004 -- Authorities inaugurated a venture for treating construction waste. The project, executed a 10,000-sqm plot of land, was designed to recycle construction material such as concrete and steel.
2006 -- Actor and director Abdulaziz Al-Mansour passed away at the age of 60. He was an eminent Kuwaiti artist, worked at the television and excelled in drama direction. He earned the Kuwait State Appreciation and Encouragement Award in 2005.
2006 -- Actor and Director Abdulaziz Al-Mansour passed away at age 60. 2008 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah honored Spanish King Juan Carlos I with Medal of Mubarak Al-Kabeer, in appreciation for his efforts in strengthening bilateral relations, and the Spanish King honored His Highness Sheikh Sabah with the Civil Merit Medal.
2013 -- Kuwait Oil Co (KOC) received the Occupational Health and Safety Award from Britain's Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and the Safety Award from the British Safety Council. (end) gta
