GENEVA, May 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Health Minister Dr. Basel Al-Sabah said Thursday his country succeeded in mobilizing Arab and Muslim support for issuing a special resolution to resolve health issues in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Sheikh Basel made his remarks to KUNA on the sidelines of his participation in the 71st World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva, which kicked off on Monday and scheduled to conclude next Saturday.
The resolution also addresses the overall situations in eastern Jerusalem and the occupied Syrian Golan, said the Kuwaiti minister.
It also calls to provide support to Palestinian health services, meet medical care's urgent needs, back the Palestinian health system, and provide health care to Golan's residents, he added.
The resolution falls in with Kuwait's permanent supportive stand with the Palestinian cause, as well as emphasizing the Palestinian right in various international events, including WHA. (end)
