Wounded Palestinian child dies

RAMALLAH, May 23 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian child who was wounded during last week's confrontations with Israeli troops has passed away, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
Akram Abu Khalil, 15, who hailed from the village of Ain Sinya near Ramallah, died today due to critical injuries in the stomach. He was shot by Israeli troops during clashes close to the town.
Occupied territories have recently witnessed fierce confrontations between the Palestinians and the heavily-armed Israeli forces. Scores of Palestinians have been killed or injured in the violence. (end) nq.rk
