Spotless environmental record needed for Arab award nomination - PAI

KUWAIT, May 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Public Authority for Industry (PAI) has stated that an immaculate environmental record is a prerequisite for all companies planning to be in contention for the Arab quality award.
The Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO) has laid out the guidelines for its Arab quality award, PAI's Director General Abdulkarim Taki said in a statement.
The prestigious industrial award's criteria include strategic leadership and planning as well as human resources, among others, Taki pointed out.
On the process of nomination, he said that all Arab companies are encouraged to fill out an online form and pay a participation fee in order to join the race for the award.
He went on to explain that the Kuwaiti industrial body has worked extensively with AIDMO in a bid to prop up the industrial sector in the region. Established in 1997, PAI is an independent body that monitors all industrial activity in the country and seeks to promote manufacturing and an expanded production base. (end) skm.ak.nam
